Description
It all started with a bucket hidden in the woods.
On May 3, 2000, a GPS enthusiast named Dave Ulmer hid the Original Stash in a remote area outside of Portland, Oregon. He included some trade items, and a log book so any finders could record their visit. He put the coordinates on a chat board, and encouraged others to go find it.
The game of geocaching grew from this one bucket!
To celebrate 25 years of hiders and finders, we have brought back a special version of the original stash bucket geocoin! This is a 3D design with a working handle. The lid is attached with magnets, and opens up to reveal the tracking code on the lower side.
It is trackable at Geocaching.com with a unique icon.
Dimensions: approximately 4.1 cm tall and 3.5 cm in diameter.
